- The Difference Between Knowledge and Wisdom
-
- Knowledge and wisdom are not the same;
- they are two different things. Knowledge is
- when we "take in" the Word of God; wisdom is
- when we "put out" the Word of God. Knowledge
- is the "accumulation" of facts; wisdom,
- however, is the correct "application" of
- those facts.
-
- "The fear of the LORD is the beginning
- of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and
- instruction" (Proverbs 1:7).
-
- Notice here that Solomon says that
- knowledge comes from the reverence of the
- LORD. If you want to be knowledgeable,
- "study" God's Word. If you want to be wise,
- "apply" God's Word. If you do both of these
- things, you will be successful in all areas
- of your life.
